Hi there,
I came across a photo of a medieval cob oven which was used at a re enactment I believe. This photo was from http://www.ferrershousehold.co.uk/Gallery.html
Does any one know who made this cob oven and is there anyway I can get in touch with this person? I would love to build one myself and want to do it properly. :)
Thanks very much,
Lya

Yup, thats the Ferrers household. Several of them post on here, but I can't recall their names. I'm sure someone will come along shortly and tell you.

Where are you based Lya?

One of our group has made a couple of ovens similar to that for her family.

I would be very intersted in that detail.

Looks reasonably Portable.

I did some research a while back and I found a manufacturer of the portable Pizza ovens, who was willing to modify his design slightly. My only issue was size as it was fairly large (filled a standard family type trailer).

Any help would be great.
