More Heraldic Tiles

Postby Joolz » Mon Jan 31, 2011 12:56 am

It's been a while since I last posted pics of my sideline in mediaeval encaustic heraldic tiles (not since 2007! time flies when you're having fun!).

So, here's a recent commission for an armigerous member of the Swainston family - the full quartered arms and a further tile for each of the 2 individual elements that make up the quartered arms.

Enjoy,

Oh, and as an afterthought, here's a little something I made for my older sister Mary for her birthday - a classic crowned 'M' representing the Virgin Mary (she appreciated the tongue-in-cheek irony!).

They're lovely! So glad to see you posting more work - the ears of grain are so fine!

I bet your sister was pleased with her tile.
