New Market - 1600-1900 era - Espressions of interest invited

Postby John Waller » Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:27 am

A new re-enactment market is being planned and expressions of interest are invited from potential traders. The venue is not huge and we are therefore aiming for a niche market that we feel is not fully catered for by the current large fairs. We are therefore restricting the market to traders who predominantly deal in the 'Horse & Musket' period from 1600 to 1900. A database is currently being compiled and invitations with pitch prices and further details will shortly be sent out to traders we feel may be interested. If you would like to be certain that your name is included then please pm me your details and email address. We would particularly like to see traders who do not currently exhibit at the major markets, but all are welcome providing the 1600-1900 timeline is respected.

Location - Maidenhead, Berkshire
Date - TBC Autumn 2013

A number of my knitted hats and the stockings made on the antique sock machine would fit here, plus the Victorian soaps and various other bits and pieces of ours.

Thanks to all who have been it touch. Following a meeting last night we have decided to defer the event until next spring. This is due to time constraints and venue availability. We want to do this properly and not go off half-cocked so feel that deferal is for the best. Latest plan is to launch the event to traders in early December. Will keep you posted.
