For those who do mail order, Royal Mail have (again) raised their parcel prices, and have also introduced size limits too, which means a light but bulky parcel can cost a whole lot more from now on.
One of our more popular mail order items has gone up from £3.15 to £3.70 for 2nd class recorded. One of our other favourites has gone up from around £6 to a whopping £9.10 as it falls foul of the size guide, and as it weighs around 2kg it may (on a bad day) weigh just that little bit more which will bump the price up to £14.45.
The lady in the post office and the local postmen have already noticed a drop in the number of smaller parcels going through the post. It's almost as if the Royal Mail don't want the business. Larger parcels are now cheaper (and often quicker) to send by Parcelforce express48.

I'm guessing that's exactly the case.
