Traders wanted for new Scottish Living History Show

Post by Mart »

We are looking for traders to attend our new Living History event on Sat 10th and Sunday 11th July 2010 9am - 5pm at the Scottish Adventure Centre, Harthill, just off junction 5 of the M8. ( I understand this is the same weekend as tewkesbury lol)

The event will encompass re-enactment displays and battles covering a multi historical period including Roman, Viking , Jacobite, Medieval, 17th and 18th Centuries including Napoleonic and both World War 1 and World War II on our 900 acre site.

As we are really trying to promote Living History within Scotland and this being our first year, we are offering traders special discount rates for pitching for the whole weekend of the fair.

We currently have options for
1 single pitch measuring 8 ft x 8 ft - £25 for the weekend
2 pitches measuring 16 ft x 8 ft - £40 for the weekend
3 pitches measuring 24 ft x 8 ft - £55 for the weekend.

If your tent size is different from those above please state this in any correspondence.

There will be a £10 discount available for the above pitches should any trader donate a prize for the raffle of a minimum value of £10 or greater.

All areas can accommodate tented coverings.

If you require a smaller pitch there will be an indoor market place made available. This is on a first come first served basis. The options for this are as follows;

4ft x 4 ft table front - £10 for the weekend
6 ft x 4 ft table front - £12 for the weekend.

Food vans of ice cream truck size are considered as an 8 ft x 8 ft pitch.

There will be security on site ouwith show hours however we cannot guarantee the safety of goods left out overnight.
Full power will be provided on site for those that require this. Please note you would be required to provide extension cords to the site.

We are hoping that this will become an annual event with many public visitors.
There will also be advertising made available in the event programme. For details regarding this please email

If you require any further information or would like to provisionally book a pitch please email

A pdf Application form and risk assessment will be emailed to you upon provisional booking & we would ask this be posted back no later than 30th April.

Thank you in advance
