How can we thank you enough for the fabulous gingerbread abbey.

Everyone loved it - sop generous, especially when you are having such a tough time -so gland Tewkesbury helped you turn things round.
Quick thought - a couple of Christmases ago a local baker sold 'flat pack' gingerbread houses, with tubes of icing to stick them together - they sold really well
Best of luck

And, we trust Bodelwyddan - or there'll be a small riot (the twins!)

Good news and well done.

Best wishes

hell yeah - it will be my 1st anniversary of doing history fairs - can we have a party in the beer tent???
Things definitely looking brighter - am making hearts for a national magazine for a photoshoot tomorrow - apparently a very famous shop wouldnt do it so they googled me :D and i get credits for it and paying
I got loads of emails about wedding favours and an order from another baker who doesnt do egg free cake (wedding for 500+ portion cake)
Got orders coming out of my ears....blimey what a turnaround in such a short space of time - can't believe it.
Oh and i will have nursery rhyme gingerbread for the kiddies as well as the everso popular dinosaurs
just for you David, the super huge brown fair buttons for you to dunk in yer brew

Awww.... just for David? They're the ones we wanted - they're lush :)

Mind you, those ones with smarties in are also equally good for dunking, as we found out at the weekend :D

None of the ideas expressed above are really mine. I get them from Luthor and Ferdinand, the five inch tall space aliens who live under my desk. In return for these ideas, I have given them permission to eat any dust bunnies they may find under there.

oh no, not at all - you can have some too
Glad you liked the smartie ones - they were a 'what can we make with these ingredients' recipe!
anyone else got any requests (of a foodie nature) for Bodelwydden?

That's damned good news, Hopefully I might be able to make a day trip to berkeley, assuming I'm not on standby for work, so I'll get some farty goodness then. I did mean to find you at tewkes, but I got sidetracked by jerked meat and copious amounts of sleeping, something I've not done since I did my back in(sleep well, that is)

Well, either use the weekend to bake loads, or see if there's still space at the 1425 gig at Cheshire Showground near Knutsford - Laurie is going and will have details.

Best wishes
David

Blore still has spaces, though as late in the season 20th/21st Sept weather can be an issue (but thats equally true of the height of "Summer" these days). The event usually attracts approx 1,500 MOPs and 300 re-enactors.

To add insult to injury my van (with camping stove, portaloo, sat nav, cd player and cd's) was stolen on Tuesday. Has been reported to the police, but not holding out much hope as several vans in the area have been taken over the past week or so. As for insurance, there's a £500 excess to pay and since that's all the van's worth - probably won't get
anything :(
All part of life's rich tapestry eh?

ANGELA THAT'S JUST NOT BLOOMIN' FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!
What a ~~~########## year you have had, if the theory I have heard that God tests those who he has great plans for works, well we'd all better get on your good side, cos he must be planning a replacement for St. Peter.
I hope it sorts itself out for you soon, are you coming to Caldicot, and do you have means to get there?- pm me if you need help i may be able to pick you up on the way.

Tell ya what Luce, tis grim up north!
was hoping for Caldicot, but it was understandably cancelled (bloddy weather), people cancelling wedding cakes as they can no longer afford them, bank charges spiralling etc etc, am hoping for a turn in fortune soon, am peed orf and exhausted 'robbing peter to pay paul'. I have one potential huge regular order in the pipeline (fingers crossed) and the chance of some data entry work 10 hours a week to keep some income coming in to please the bank, so all not lost yet - may be bald by Christmas like, but what the heck eh
