Obscure question - 18th century chocolate

Postby Peanutsmum » Sun Nov 10, 2013 6:25 pm

This is rather odd but does anyone know of any evidence regarding John Wesley's (founder of Methodism) opinion on chocolate? Not sure if he liked it or viewed it as over indulgent. Im at some point hoping to volunteer at his former home. Thanks.

If one could make alive again for other people some cobwebbed skein of old dead intrigues and breathe breath and character into dead names and stiff portraits. That is history to me! ~George Macaulay Trevelyan
