Excellent - we instantly lose half of Saxon England and a large chunk of Vikings!!

Mildly amusing, but I'm sure I've seen that somewhere before. Off the top of my head, don't we have multiple lines of corroborating evidence for there being a "dark ages", from Islamic sources through to Vikings, as well as Carbon 14 dating.

If nothing else we have the Anglo Saxon Chrinicle which covers these dates - I was wondering if Workmonkey would disappear if we told him he didn't really exist!!
