New history website for kids - your thoughts please!

Postby liverpoolhistory » Wed Feb 04, 2015 10:18 pm

Hello there,

I am secondary school teacher creating a Liverpool themed history website in my (little) spare time.

I have created a section on Medieval Liverpool that people here may be interested to see.

Please don’t bite my head off with the historical and artistic licence I am taking!
I am not a world authority on medieval times, but just someone trying to switch kids on to local history in a fun and engaging way.

See what you think anyway...

The medieval name generator doesn't seem to like my real surname (Chaplin) and some others such as Bacon, Mortimer, Cameron.

The games are wonderful (and I think they are the best way to get children involved)

That's a very nice little site. Really looks good too.

Again, didn't recognise my surname, but I'm guessing that's just a bit of fun anyway.

In the Wars of the Roses section, you stated that the Lancastrian symbol was a red rose. You know that's not correct don't you?

Finally, I'm guessing that you've got permissions to use all those beautiful illustrations. I wouldn't want you to get into trouble over something like that.

Best wishes

Colin
