clasp arm gearing

Postby 40/- freeholder » Tue Nov 04, 2014 9:54 am

Could someone point me in the direction of a good historic depiction of clasp arm gearing. I'm particularly interested in windmills but any pre-C19th image would be valuable.

To answer my own question, in case anyone else is interested:
Martin Biddle, 2000. King Arthur's Round Table: An archaeological investigation. Boydell Press.
Out of curiosity, does anyone re-enact grain milling other than by hand quern?
