Make Up for Specific Periods

Postby Sapphire » Sun Nov 20, 2005 9:37 pm

Hi Everyone

This is my first posting so forgive me if I get it wrong.

I am currently undertaking a Fashion/ Photography Make Up Course and have had to research periods of history and compare makeup then and now (ie if I wanted to recreate the look). Can anyone give me some advise on Elizabeth 1, French Revolution, 1790's (ie Jane Austen) and 1920's.

I won't be online for awhile so can you please email at Makeup@starsapphire.demon.co.uk

Thank you very much.

Hmm, blatant plug time methinks!
You'll find it all in my recent book. 'The Artifice of Beauty' published this year by Sutton Publishing.
Direct link to an Amazon page

or just get it out of the library!

Make Up for Specific Periods

:D

Hi Sally

Thought you would like an update. I did buy your book but unfortunately it did not turn up in time for me to use in my portfolio but I was able to check that most of what I was able to research was good.

I showed it to my tutor who is also looking to buy it.

Oh and I passed with flying colours, I have now qualified in Fashion, glamour and period make up.

Thanks once again.

Sapphire
