Hi I'm currently looking for a group of re enacters to do a living village to show what it was like to live in and around a castle in medieval times, we are putting on a Fflint festival 2018, we have access to Fflint castle and castle grounds, (albeit a ruin) it is planned for 7/8 th July 2018.
So I'm looking for groups who have villagers, soldiers etc to display and educate the children, and visitors of how life would of been in the shadow of the castle.
If anyone can recommend groups or a group can contact me directly. I need to know numbers, size of area required and costs if possible please.
Thank you for reading and I apologise if this is not the correct way to request as totally new to this activity.

So many views so few replies? Even if it’s a no we don’t do that sort of thing, but I know someone who does would be really useful.

Tournée could provide an encampment with combat and archery displays if that is what you're looking for - Edward I and II are our period, and we've worked in several castles over the years. I'll send my email address in a PM if you want to discuss further.

Hi I messaged you about Flint about 4 days ago did you get it ?
There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

Hi Times Past,
sorry I missed your message, I tried to respond to the email but it just redirects back to my email ?
I like the idea of a souvenir poster, the festival is a variety of themes
next year, we traditionally have a 999 day,(all the emergency services) a
Victorian beach (a pit of sand deck chairs and donkeys etc) and a few
stalls too, but I am hoping to have some castle dwellers too this year,
depending on cost,
I did look at your website, but I’m not sure I could get access to a shop
as they are a bit of a distance away from the Castle where we will be
hosting the event.. potential for the town hall but again it’s a litttle
bit of a walk between the castle and the townhall. So unlikely to get much
footfall there.
Can you give me a costing and a general outline of what would be possible
Regards
Steve

Hi oneman, not really sure you read the post properly, we were looking for groups to enact a village, not recruiting individuals to join our village.
Thank you to everyone who has responded, we now have enough enquiries in place for our purposes.

HI there, are you interested in a musician? I play Hammer Dulcimer and Hurdy Gurdy with which I also sing. Happy to do demonstration spots for adults and children, I'm an ex-teacher with current disclosure certificate. Info at www.damianclarke.co.uk Thanks Damian C
