Now that I like! Great idea for a thread too. Going in kit down to our local town centre would result in chavs going for us like piranhas at a donkey in a bad b-movie.

Haven't even got a decent picture of me in kit in an authentic setting. Away off to sulk now.

Have got to ask though - did you get discount?

No - the pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon, the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.

Didn't get a picture taken, but a few of us (a friend who worked at Cosmeston and a couple of locals from Tewkesbury) got into a nightclub in Tewkesbury once - for free, I might add - because we were in kit.
I was dressed as a monk, too - which made it even funnier.

It's when you're heading back up the motorway late at night after an event. You haven't had the energy or the inclination to change out of your kit so it's 'lived in' to say the least. You stop at one of the services to find that every other group heading your way has had the same idea leading to an eating area full of people in kit and some very confused mops wondering if they should stop somewhere to sleep before the hallucinations really get out of hand!

Back in September a medieval fayre and a state election fell on the same Saturday. The event organisers had a shuttle bus for the reanactors to go and vote in full kit. One of the local papers ran an article with the caption, "Voting Knight". I'll see if I can find some pics.

we've got all sorts of bizarre pictures when we were at Fort Paul - medieval camp under a Beverley (I think!), people in 15th C kit in tank turrets! I'll see if I can find them when I get home
