Historical Joust in Australia.

Post by Rod Walker »

The St. Ives Medieval Faire was run for the second year this weekend past. This year the joust was an historical solids joust. This is the fourth time these have been run down here. I organised the last 3 but Andrew McKinnon organised this one.
The jousters were from Australia- Phil Leitch, Luke Binks, Andrew McKinnon and myself. From New Zealand- Jezz Smith. From Europe- Arne Koets, Bertus Brokamp and Wouter Nicolai. The ground crew from Stitching HEI also came down.

Lots of fun and lances broken and at the end Phil Leitch won it and I came second. There is a lot more of course but still tired and recovering from the weekend.

Looking good. Well you would with a crest the same colour as mine!

:-)
http://www.griffinhistorical.com. A delicious decadent historical trifle. Thick performance jelly topped with lashings of imaginative creamy custard. You may also get a soggy event management sponge finger but it won't cost you hundreds and thousands.

Excellent! Not my period, but good to see activities like this. Great promotion for Living History.
