My victorian wedding gown!

Postby Izabela Pitcher » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:47 am

a 1883 gown in silk duchesse - a result of about a month of stitching. the bridesmaids and the mother of honour all in attire ranging from 1878 - 1883, the groom somehow earlier though - it just had to be a Mr. Darcy! brilliant wedding venue too, st. Audries in Somerset.

Really enjoyed seeing the process on Facebook-it's beautiful and I'm intrigued to hear you're planning on making historical wedding gowns as someone planning their own wedding!

Congrats!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Ha. I can confirm that the dress is as lovely in life as it is in teh pictures having seen it at TORM. I really loved their outfits. And the bridesmaid dresses looked fantastic as well. Isabella we will be in touch about our wedding as we would like you to make at least my daughters dress, and possible help with the boys outfits as well.

I know need to pull my finger out; and decide what I am wearing.

Well done Izabela, that has come a long way since your late Roman peplos at the Barley hall!

All the best to you!
