I think the knight who time travelled in Primeval looked much better.
No where near enough double headed axes, horned helmets and polyester around for my liking.
I quite like the photography. I think you should come and photograph one of our shows, too
As for period: They are stringmail showriders, not reenactors or living historians. Thus: No period and no attempt at even remote historical educational value, just show/fun.
There are some very very awesome displays around in that field, especially on the continent. I have seen a German group galopping several times through a five-metre wall of fire before. And you don't see trick riders hanging off the bottoms of their horses by one hand in authentic kit either

Do not be loath, diligent reader, to winnow my chaff, and lay up the wheat in the storehouse of your memory. For truth regards not who is the speaker, nor in what manner it is spoken, but that the thing be true - Nennius, 8th century
Plus, when most of Joe/Josephine public hear the word 'medieval', it is these sorts of images they expect to see.
Huzzah for the Black Knight. He always gets the best lines...

I know a Richard Thompson song with a similar subject...
There again who cares what era its suposed to be 1950's Hollywood pho/Medieval or whatever, looks stunning in the outfits & colours & as has been pointed out its what the public expects. Fair enough we can argue till the cows come home about what's wrong with continuing to mislead the public with that sort of thing technically is wrong, but its fun & best of all the quality of the photography is second to none. So I'll give it a big thumbs up on that
