When the weather holds it's a fun place to be.
The awfentic buildings are really nice. Especially the merchants house which we turn into a bawdy tavern

Avoncroft is one of the places where the weather doesn't matter because of the buildings
We've done about 6 events there over the years. The problem used to be the lack of publicity meant that the re-enactors out numbered the public. I didn't go this year as it clashed with another event but the Lace Wars people reported back that there was a large and enthuiastic crowd and the staff were more than welcoming.
I'm pretty sure that we are going back next year.

I have a lot more of the Jacobites and W.O.R. - you would have to email me for them-my computer skills are limited...cant work out how to make an album.
They have them all at the Museum too- & could send them onif you dont want to pass your email address on.

I'll look forward to it!
We enjoyed the W O R murder mystery.I loved the way the 'cool' teenage boys (the most difficult audience to impress ) were so involved.
It isnt easy to revive a 'dead' site but it seems to be happening.I hear via the grapevine that business is up 25% this year at Avoncroft-despite the vile weather!
