[He was a little s*d!!! He's a jousting horse so I couldn't flipping hold him!! He kept wanting to be in front I got the chance to hold the colour at the end, had it for about 20 seconds and then they let the cannon off and Ted decided the Royalist horses looked like pleasant chaps to talk to... at a flat out charge! Needless to say I handed the colour back quick before we ended up somewhere over the rainbow!!! ]

ha! I remember you. I was wondering what happened to your colour :-) well, I hope Ted had a good chat with our ponies:-)

I have also spotted myself on the ECWSpictures:attacking the pike and pouting a lot;-)

thanks for good fun at the battlefield![/quote]

We had a fantastic time at Kelmarsh and I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone for the overwhelmingly positive reaction we got.

Biggest congratulations of the weekend must go to one of our ladies, Becca Holland, for taking a glass of champange from a tray whilst jumping sidsaddle over a fully laid table....

Shabash!

Excuses :D

How is your neck now?

I have to say that I find my UP when decked out in the Napoleonic style to be the single most secure seat ever.

And dead comfy to boot..!!

hehe - normally would be OK but he's too excitable in shows for that as we should be on plain leather. Not worth taking the risk....

Neck's not too bad, does get sore after a lot of galavanting on ponies, but I'm not complaining - I can still ride and walk!

too true - take the sheepskin and cloak off the front and you have a whole different saddle.

If you have a good shine to it, I dare say with the angle of the pommel it could work as quite the ejection ramp :( Not so good in your current convalescent condition.

(and more reason to do Napoleonic)

1812 uniform with white shako, or going for the earlier look?

it's earlier - Skinner's Officers were wearing Tarletons in the 1820's
