I was sifting through some of the pictures I took at Herstmonceux this year and came across this rather bizarre image.......

Took me a minute, a dropped hammer blow perhaps?

I see a man with chain and not much else with no weapon running at a man in plate who seems to be falling and has dropped his sword

Why is there a man in chain with out a weapon on the field?

What he being a marshall?

I'm not sure what happened here! I think the combatants managed to disarm each other. The chap in mail has lost his sword which is in the grass at his feet, while the guy in plate seems to have lost his grip on his weapon which is floating mysteriously in the air :o

oh yess now i see his sword on the ground,

so this looks like a death and you managed to catch it in mid death where he's dropped the sword or let it go as he falls
