My New Jupon

Post by Ben_Fletcher »

My new Jupon was finished just in time for a very damp and windy show at Dover last week, and I just wanted to show it off some more!

I am so pleased with the look, all I need now is the coat of plates to improve my silhouette... well and perhaps a diet...

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who just spent a good few minutes laughing at that. :D

Nice Jupon as well.

Have to agree with the archer, nice kit too but the LOTR has had me chuckling into my beard.

Lovely looking jupon, I'd get mail on the gaps in my plate though just in case, it seems to leave you open to possible injuries.

But nice kit 8)

I totally missed how long this thread had become!

I stole the LOTR thing from somewhere, I forget where, but it amused me no end.

The Jupon cost me half my worldly good, as it was made by my lovely Fiance, who is a bit of a dab hand with needle and thread!

She also painted the pennant flying overhead.

I'm going to be investing in new maille in a few weeks, and I may go so far as to add it to the inner arms.

And don;t worry, no offence taken I was actually rather amused. Go for padding if you need it, I clearly don't.....

EDIT: I've been asked to remove the signature animation as it was too large for the forum and the language had offended some people, I have liked to it offsite with warning attached

I agree, very rude words of an adult nature, when I called my kids over to watch it I had to warn them about that...
They laughed a lot though too , and promised they won't use those words themselves.

Very sensible...

Boromir's victory dance should never be used by under 18's.

never got into the LOTR films (though read the books when I was younger) but, oh boy, that montage is hilarious! I doubt I'd be able to watch the actual film with a straight face now anyway!

they were sewn inside out, then the jupon was turned inside out and the last bit sewn closed.

She's really very clever with that kind of thing
