Of course he has a knife. He always has a knife. We all have knives - it's 1183 and we're barbarians.

It was amazing to see the scenery change from green & muddy into snowy. And muddy. And then back to green again. And muddy.

Did I mention the mud yet?

Ahh the mud, what fun it was  . I was caked from knee to foot and pebbledashed all over, damned stuff got everywhere
I hadn't realised just how muddy i was until i started to dry out on the way home (and started to smell too). The first service station i called in at was like the parting of the waves as i walked in, then i looked in the mirror (very scary, muddy too). I felt how Linus (sp) on the Snoopy cartoons must have felt, complete with tiny flies buzzing round me head.
Didn't bother me much at boot camp as we were all pretty much the same but being around nice clean people was an experience and it seemed to bother them more than it did me

I now have to empty the newly dented rental van of the contents...and the mud before i take it back :(
Gingerbrede washed down with mead - it can't get much better than this!

Add costume and you become invisible. It's like magic. No one can see you, but no one walks into you either.

Sometimes little children are able to spot you and stare until dragged away by anxious parents.

:(
That was Pigpen, who had the ability to walk out of the house fresh from the bath & in clean clothes, stand motionless talking to Charlie Brown, and on the fourth panel - "POOF!" - he's back to 'normal'.
