Herstmonceaux Castle - England's Medieval Festival 2007

Post by Frances Perry »

Got back at 2am on Monday morning having stayed the Friday and Saturday nights. What a great fun event - the first time I've been!

It was really good to meet some many groups who are not usually around at the events I've been to before, and who are members of the Medieval Seige Society, or individual groups.

The event was well planned out and many thanks to the organisers for a friendly, positive weekend - prompt resonses via email to questions, clean portaloos and thansk to the Buxom Wench catering crew too!

Also like to thank the White Lion Archery Company for letting us (me and Paul) tag onto their camp!

Here are some pictures from the Saturday morning muster and archery (best seen via the slide-show function):

I was working just down the row from you!

I was the one making annoying hammering noises a lot of the time!

Was good, slowly putting the mobile workshop together, still working on the forge/transport puzzle though!

Are you any closer to finding a new base yet?
