Surely too thin for a confederate re-enactor?

I cannot understand! Those words are, sadly, beyond my volcabulary at this hour.
Translate?

He does not know which manor/household he is from.

OR

Something to do with the fact that the clothes are very different from his own.

PooR Dlt is quite baffled.

L.M is quite right, he doesn't understand what household he is from, and why he is wearing such funny clothes.

Indeed- sadly he lost all of his other clothing in a campaign somewhere so this had to do!

Now look what you've done, DLT is hopping around in excitement and waving his sword in the air.

However, he does say that the Irish are rebels to the Queen and she will be sorting them out shortly! So I'd be careful Panda!

Mark,
I take your comment with great disgust, he looks fine as a good ole reb. Marse Robert would be proud.
He is far too thin and young to be a pulteney though.

In that case I'm too thin to be a Pulteney.
