Hi folks
I wonder whether or not someone might be able to help me. We have some small grenades, empty shapes with wooden tops.
Until now we've had a length of det cord or fuse wire that has been blue in colour and burns about an inch a second or so, but its running out. It's about 2mm diameter.
Does anyone have any ideas where we might be able to get some thing similar to do the job?
Kindest regards
Graham

Firework company might sell you some. I used to use fuse tails we cut off shells that were to be electrically fired. They are just thrown away
See if you can get some of them.

Ooo! Does he? I've also run out and don't do firework shows anymore.
Mind you making your own fuses is fun - gunpowder cut with saltpetre and charcoal packed into the fuse tube. Or perhaps safer I also used commercially produced smoke powder from Theatrical Pyrothecnics Ltd. Works very well.

Sadly Theatrical Pyrotechnics now out of business due to ill health. I find the guys at
http://www.hfmgroup.com/ knowledgeable, sensible and helpful. Based in Cannock although the magazine is elsewhere. Its an aladdins cave for the pyro enthusiast...
Certainly can make your own stuff, as long as its not over 100g of any pyrotechnical compound of course. I do 90g at a time to make sure...

Malcolm Armstrong of TPL passed away last week, BUT he sold the business to Viking of Ramsgate who use the same sheds, the same staff and same contact details some while ago. Viking produce most of the same items that TPL did, with the same service time and courier delivery.
Small amounts of fuse I can supply, if there is a meeting point. I'm a SFX and pyro person with one of my hats on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqO-5J0pyg8

thanks for that. I had wondered about Malcome, a sad loss. Viking are good chaps, just HFM are more conveniant for me.
