Re: riflemans boots
In what way are a rifleman's boots any different to any other infantryman's boots?

As I am lead to believe, they are pull on reasonable thin like a short hussars boot, but I think that they sweep up in the back simaular to the rifeman short gaiters? They may be sergeants boots? Does that make sence?

I think I understand what you are describing but I don't think such a thing existed. Sergeants had clothing made of better quality materials but I don't think it extended to them having bespoke pull on bootees. You might want to post your query on the 2nd 95th forum. That's where the experts are.

As John says, go to the 2nd 95th, they will have better primary sources. Althoug the book you quote is good, there are a few issues there and its only artists impressions.
I use ordinary boots and shoes for my 95th impression, seem to work fine and nobody has pointed and sneered. So far!

http://www.griffinhistorical.com. A delicious decadent historical trifle. Thick performance jelly topped with lashings of imaginative creamy custard. You may also get a soggy event management sponge finger but it won't cost you hundreds and thousands.

Never heard about it, and for sure it is no longer existed (riflemans boots), If there's is we can see it in a museum or in a google search engine perhaps.
