Flintlock Mechanism Makers

Post by Grendel2 »

I'm interested in getting a flintlock mechanism, just the lock mechanism, for doing a bit a research around making and testing gunflints.

There a few in the US that are very high quality and expensive, they're also for top of the range guns. I was wondering if there are cheaper 'reenactment quality' makers around in the UK supplying the 19th and 18th century reenactors, as I don't require a high quality modern precision piece.

Henry Kranks in Pudsey sells quite a range of detatched repro locks.
