Flintlock Fettler Wanted
Can anyone recommend someone to service and tune a flintlock mechanism? I recently acquired an old repro that needs the sear adjusting for the half cock setting. The half cock position is too near the frizzen, requiring a very short flint to allow the pan to fully close, which causes the top jaw to strike the frizzen. May need a new sear making or a small piece silver-soldering to the sear.

There is a chap in one of the NA units, I'll try and find out his name. I've got one of my locks up in Scotland with another chap but it's been there for ages. Don't bother with the company over near Norwich my lock ws there for months and they did nothing. I think it's a dieing art.

Thanks Tod, I think I'm sorted with Ross from the 44th. Hopefully he can sort out the lemon you sold me:-)

Good choice, Ross is most certainly your man.

It's with Mr W at present. Looking forward to shooting it. Bought and fitted a bayonet for it at the weekend. Swivels and sling added. All good.
