AFRA AXIS FORCES RE-ENACTMENT ASSOCIATION

Post by Panzerman »

Despite not being able to make this a STICKY we do hope SOME will read it.
The AXIS FORCES RE-ENACTMENT ASSOCIATION has been established for a long time now. In that time it has led the way in many developments in WWII Living HIstory and Re-enactment.
As a group, it provided a safe and secure environment for people to grow and hone their craft. It provided a launch pad for many off shoot groups and it was widely copied by others. It helped groups to start up. It paved the way in things such as vehicle use, pyrotechnic use, standards of dress, behaviour and safety. It established the widespread adoption of Club Rules and working Constitutions. It pioneered widespread adoption of TP PLI (INsurance to thee and me!) and it taught many, many people the values of fair and honest conduct (which not all of them adopted)

Several times, attempts were made to expand AFRA and turn it into a true association. These were mostly thwarted at the 11th hour by those within who simply could not bear to share.

Now, after the last instance of rats leaving a ship which they had gnawed holes in.... the remaining crew have repaired those holes, recaulked the timbers and are ready to put to sea once again but this time offering a wider membership to other WWII Axis Groups. Already over 60 people are waiting to sign up for 2007 and this time AFRA will go "on tour" with a "roadshow" which will only be equalled by possibly two groups..... Both of which are friends and allies who aim, together to provide the UK with the biggest and most spectacular German Armed Forces Displays yet seen.

Does your group want to get on board? Can you see a benefit to joining an Association?
For more details contact us at AFRA....... then let us know.
TOGETHER THE FEW BECOME MANY!
