Another great set of photos - I especially like the second down. Any objections to my using your photos as part of a classroom display on primary and secondary historical sources? Naturally there would be an appropriate credit.

No problem with you using the photo's Jim and feel free to take them from the website if any catch your eye - just make sure they are the one's that capture my best side

Did you get to Churnet Valley at the weekend?

Hello mate

The drills not really my thing either, but then like you say, its nessacery. Our website is www.grossdeutschland.org dude, not to be confused with GD recon, who, as Neil says, we only share with when it suits them.

Some pics from our weekend at the Festival of History, showing the group and this years display.

Thanks to 21st Panzer for bringing the vehicles down - they really set the display off....

The 2009 campaign got underway last weekend with a good turnout at the 'Breakout from the Don' private battle. As has been said on other threads, turnout for the event was fantastic and the combatants taking part looked spot on.

Fantastic weekend for the group and we really enjoyed ourselves fighting the relentless tide of Bolshevism :)

Also got the chance to bed down in a derelict building for the weekend, cook simple food on the Esbit, kip on straw with just a greatcoat and wool blanket to keep warm - nice to leave the cosy tents and camp beds behind and rough it.

There are some great pictures coming out of this event, but I thought i'd share some of ours - the gallery is now uploaded to our website and can be seen at:

Excellent pics - as always... The first and last are particularly strong on period feel.
