I am in desperate need of help on this.

I have looked and asked everywhere else...I know it's late where I am, but I can't sleep knowing that I haven't figure this out yet lol. I know, call me odd.

This is a 1940's snood that I found and I would love nothing more than to know how in the world the decreasing works. row 16 has 23 meshes and 17 you are suppose to decrease, as well as 18, that's not a problem. The problem is that, right after row 18, it tells you to continue decreasing, taking off one on each end of each row...but it only tells you how to take it off at the end of the row. I tried using the ch 5 as the possible decrease but, at row 18, I don't end up with 19 like it should be, but I end up with 21...which should be in row 17...unless I'm reading it wrong...that's the thing, I have no clue.

I would be ever so grateful if someone who has done this, or someone that understands the pattern better than me, could tell me how to work the decreases or even how that part of the pattern works. I would so very much appreciate it ^-^

Have you looked in the notes of the other people who have made this in case anyone annotates how thy handled the decrease? In particular projects with a little lifebelt symbol are ones others have found helpful http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... ood/people
