New Memorial to the Royal West Kent Regiment

Postby PeterZed » Thu Aug 01, 2013 10:38 pm

The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment Living History Group has raised the funds required to erect a Memorial dedicated to the Royal West Kent Regiment at the spot where the Regiment first saw action on the morning of the 23rd August 1914 at Tertre in Belgium. Here are some photographs of the Memorial currently under construction using Kentish Ragstone which will be ready in time for the Community Dedication on the 23rd August 2013. Anyone who is in the area would be most welcome to join us at the Dedication which will start at 11:00hrs.

Nice one, my hat is off to you gents, fine work.
