Event at Royal Gunpowder Mills 28th- 29th May 2006

Postby czartank » Tue Nov 15, 2005 11:54 pm

I have been asked to spread the word on this by Lynne Lennard at the RGM:

"I am putting together a multi period display for the 28th and 29th of May 2006 (Bank holiday weekend) So far I have the following who have expressed an interest: Discovering Medieval, Royal Sussex Historical Group (Victorian Weapons), Fort Cumberland Guard (Marine Infantry 1830s), WWI (Lawrence Taylor is on the case for this) and WWII.
we would welcome any WWI re enactors that may be interested. I appreciate that most people (including yourself) will already be committed for this weekend, but I thought it was worth asking."

If you are interested Lynne can be contacted at llennard@royalgunpowdermills.com

Read on another forum posted by yourself Czartank that the show has changed dates to
"This event has now been moved to the 8th-9th July"
which is the correct date.

Different events!

The one on 29th-30th May is a multi-period event in which I am not involved.

The event on the 8th-9th July is a World War One event being organised by the 1914-21 Society and GWS.

We would welcome WW1 re-enactors to the latter event: If any would like to come they can contact me.

Depends which event you are referring to!

If it is the May event, Lynne is your contact.

If it is the WW1 event in July, you can contact me as well.

Hi again czartank,
I am intersested in as many events as possible, we also have a Napolionic gun team under training. Whilst it may be out of your period, with enough notice, we could make tack and harness to suit Great war and pull a gun and limber.

Is there any money for LH groups for this?

There are several groups I know of, of different types who may be interested.

Including the what i believe to be the only WW2 Far Eastern group.
