are you meaning in this period or earlier / If so I would suggest contacting NFOE- their website is the same as there are quite a few people who play native people there

Try contacting the 1st Tennessee in the ACWS, one of their members sometimes portrays Native troops, he even wrote the Osprey book on the subject.

Are you mixing up Carol Archey and the now defunct Eagle Classic Archery?
Mick, Carol (Carol Archery) Edward's partner does indeed do the injun / mountain man thing, though I'm not sure what group he is with.
