April 16th &17th

Historical Military Headdress Blocking and Construction
Class run by Andrew Clark of Military Metalwork

2 day intensive course looking at all aspects of leather and felt headdress construction. Although concentrating on 18th and 19th century military head dress this class would be suitable for millinery and costume students looking to widen their skills. Topics will include felt blocking and stiffening, leather moulding, leather stitching and construction, brief introduction to block making. Come away with a Napoleonic felt shako either French or British
