I'm trying to find out a bit of background on the types of writing equipment, paper, inks and pencils(? Had the feeling that they started to appear in a crude form around this time) for the period around 1700 to about 1715. Traders info would also be really useful.
Also anything/ any place where I could start researching info re: literacy and education, esp Dame Schools, handwriting styles, fonts etc would be gratefully received!
Many thanks. Humbly yours etc, etc.

Griffen Mill make wonderful replica paper for most datelines, bound to be at least one of theirs that fits your dateline.

Most people make their own oak gall ink, its easy to do and you can't run out that way
