English Civil War Men's Hats

Postby Phoenix Rising » Fri Oct 24, 2014 6:16 pm

Hi folks,

Does anyone know of a good supplier for men's hats that would suit for the English Civil War period? Looking to buy a cavalier type hat but as the group I'm with don't do this period a lot I don't want to spend a small fortune on it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks,

P.R

The Duke of Newcastle had a nightcap which had a specially designed hole to emit 'bad humors'. So, if you wanted to turn up as Sir William Cavendish with your own horse drawn sleeping carriage at re-enactments, you could start a trend.
