Steve Matthews who played the preacher for the Worcester Militia sadly passed away last week aged 49.

His funeral is to take place at 2pm at Stoulton Church, Worcestershire on Tuesday 4th April 2006.

For those of you who knew him and would like to attend the funeral, you are most welcome but his family have requested that 17th century dress is worn.

If you would like more details please feel free to PM me

Thanx

Only found this today but had heared that Steve had passed away.
We are sorry to have missed his funeral.
Steve married us in a 17th century service at the Commandry in the high days of the Worcester Millita.
We will mourn his passing but take comfort in the memories of that time.

Another soldier marches on to a greener field.

Not sure how much you have been in contact with the old Militia Boys.
Myself and my brother, being ex Militia types in Worcester.(On my partners setting.) helped organise the Militias attendance at the funeral.
Much has happened. David Whitticarh (One time Gun Captain) died at the start of the year too. Did you hear about Gavin Barrett (ensign)? 2000.
Lots of news really.
