1549 and all that

Postby Foxe » Fri Jan 04, 2013 1:56 am

Idle enquiry: are there any groups in the South (or better still, South-West) who do mid-Tudor? Authenticity minded and a mix of civilian and military for preference...

Any particular reason for the enquiry?

I've been known to do a bit of late Henrician.

I've just moved into the middle of 'Prayer-Book Rebellion Country'...

Of course, I don't have the time or money to put yet another set of kit together right now, but that won't necessarily stop me.

sorry to be so slow. "Hungerford Household" and "Tudor Group" would be a good place to start.

You could also check the local SCA group- it's relatively Tudor/Elizabethan rich, and the 'entry level' for gear is pretty low, and goes as high as you want it to.
