Make sure you have the grain running straight (and in the correct direction) all the way through your staves, I made one a couple of years back and if you're grain's wonkey you're bow will twist as you draw it. My grain is pretty much spot on, but he did have an example of a wonky grain stave to show us what not to use.

Infact, the course i did is still running here I thought it was worth every penny.
