Afternoon all,
So little project I have given myself for the winter, been reading up on dyes for leathers come across walnut shells for making brown leather. So not sure I could consume enough walnuts just to have the shells for the dye but have found crushed walnut shells used for lizard/reptile habitats. Guessing these would be natural due to the use they would be needed for. Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on this subject.
Many thanks
Frazer

Re: Walnut Dye for leather
is it the dry shell or the wet husk you need? Usually its the wet husk that stains everything it touches brown for ages
