Postby tonw » Mon Feb 01, 2010 9:05 pm

Where/Who do people get their polearms from?

I'm looking to get a new polearm for the coming season and I'm trying to find someone to make/buy a pole arm from is proving interesting...

Any help greatly appreciated

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

NORF, I like it. Will you be there John?

I got mine from A Plaisance some years back. I don't know where they got them from (I don't think that they made them), but I think that they were making some ahl-speice (sp?) rescently.

No. I'm from the North but NORF is a bit too far north now. Probably at TORM and that is too bloody far as well. A good market in the south east would be nice. Would like to do that one near Paris one day.

Combat legal awl pike thingy might be interesting, I was considering getting a live one for show and tell type stuff.
Tyrrell have also made some nice pole type weapons not sure if Chris is still making them or not though.

As captain of a dedicated bill block I'd second the recomendation of Andy K, all his bills are forged and not slab and socket (avoid if at all possible as the construction is wrong) as for Arma Bohemia they do excelent sharps but I haven't seen any of their blunt work as yet so i'd reserve judgement on that
