looking for some typically english 15c helmets/sallet pics for a new lid
anyone any good illustations or photos of originals

Got the coventry sallet
and the italian one from the church any others

There are extracts from the Beauchamp Pageant in most books about the 15thC. They should be showing English armour (as it's for an English patron).

thanks for those Have the B pagent on disc ,was looking for acutal helmets first then illustrations etc

Speak to Mike in the Levy - he's been collecting info on them. There is one in the V&A I have some photos of... somewhere. If I find them I'll email them to you.
