Looking for a group...

Postby gong farmer » Mon Mar 09, 2009 12:18 am

Hi to you all! I am really interested in joining a living history re-enactment group with my other half and kids. We live near Caerphilly and are mainly interested in the late fourteenth or early fifteenth century. We would be very grateful of any suggestions

Freemen of Gwent are near you, aren't they? They are really friendly folk, and Muddyevil.
Might I suggest you come to the early May Bank Holiday event at Margam park and have a good gossip with lots of groups to see which ones you think it may be worth investigating further.
Welcome to the madhouse, you will have fun. :D

Thank you Lucy for your kind words.

Hello Gong Farmer - If you would like to meet us we will be at Chepstow Castle on Sunday 22 March for a training day. Please feel free to come along and have a chat. We will be able to spend time chatting to you and letting you know what we do - bring the family too. If you cannot make that date, then we will be back at Chepstow Castle for the Easter weekend and would be pleased to meet you then.

If you would like to contact me through the private message system on this forum, please feel free to do so. In the meantime, you might like to look at our website and forum - address below.

And welcome to this place - home of madmen, and lovely lovely people.

Ann

It can't be that bad if they've made a Lego model of it:

We're back at Caerphilly Castle for the May Day Bank Holiday BTW.
