Can anyone identify this image?

Postby Sir Rupert » Tue Aug 19, 2008 9:13 pm

Having nearly finished my thesis, I've found an image which could be crucial to my main argument, but I can't find its original source and it's driving me mad! Can anyone help? Has anyone come across this image before, and, if so, can you tell me where it originally comes from? I'd be eternally grateful for any help!

Had to go retro and use a book for this one! The Medieval Panorama has it, and says:
Bibliotheque Nationale Paris MS Fr. 112 f. 5 is the reference, does that help?

Erm Sorry, but aren't both the "round table" images different to the one at the start of this thread?

Because there would have to be three of them.

Paul Murphys one looks right, except that the first picture, the one posted by Sir Rupert, looks like it has been reversed in the process of being copied, and the colouration in it is appaling. I have no idea how it was made into an uploadable form.

Guthrie - you're right, and that may have been what threw me so completely. I found the image on a very odd website, with no source quoted. Paul Murphy's link does take you to a much much better version!
