Thanks, but it is easier for you if you just use the 'report post' button, then we moderators see a warning symbol above the area of the forum and in that thread, so we know there's a problem.

Sorry but I was just posting them here as requested. Do you not want us do this anymore?

Well we haven't exactly agreed it as a policy, but you don't have to do everything we ask of you if there's a quicker way that works just as well or better. Try it and see which works better for you. In my case I see the warning symbols more quickly than I see that someone has posted in here.

It would appear that the latest bunch are registering, spamming, then deleting the account.
Which of course makes it more difficult for a human to intervene to block where the accounts are coming from.
When I was running a forum a few years ago, I just blocked anything with a .ru or .ua email address.
I'm also on one forum where anyone using a 'free' email system (Hotmail, Gmail and the like) needs moderator approval before their account is activated (as most of the trouble comes from those sorts of service).
Are either of those possibilities?

Steve

I'd have to ask Cal, or indeed you could ask him yourself, although he may take a while to reply. We may already be doing some area blocking, but don't want to make it harder for e.g. east europeans to post here. The new captcha question thingy brought in last year seemed to help, but maybe it is out of date now?

Seconded - he appears to be selecting random topics and bouncing them to the top with some fairly strange (even for LH :D ) remarks: Building his post count?

He is certainly making some rather random posts. Very brief and with no real content or arguments.

New user "Queenwalts", only one posting which seems very odd to me:
