He was a little s*d!!! He's a jousting horse so I couldn't flipping hold him!! He kept wanting to be in front :lol: I got the chance to hold the colour at the end, had it for about 20 seconds and then they let the cannon off and Ted decided the Royalist horses looked like pleasant chaps to talk to.....

That's a fantastic help, Neibelungen, thank you very much. I have been told how much I need etc but as with everything else that goes into my head it goes straight out again!! :lol:

How do you know? My Beaby buffcoat has sleeves 10mm thick and is perfectly capable of riding a horse and being used in combat Sorry, I didn't put that right, was in a rush. I meant I personally prefer coats for riding which have 'hinged' sleeves. I find the one-piece sleeves too bulky. Thanks Ariar...

That one is beautiful, but unfortunately no good for cavalry - not enough give in the sleeves.

I am attempting to make myself a buff coat for SK cavalry, and am having a hard time finding a supplier for the leather. Does anyone know of anyone decent and not too horrendously expensive?
