Where could I find a good, comprehensive list of historical shows this year, with so many being cancelled or dates changed etc and not all websites being updated to keep up with the changes is there a list somewhere ? we are doing our diary and have a few empty weekends :)

Re: Chimera Costumes

communication is the key, first and last, no matter what is going on in your life (within reason of course), it takes 5 mins to email or post on facebook etc, some form of communication must be kept up, otherwise unpleasantness and rumors start spreading, people fall out who were friends etc

new market for next Xmas

Not really a new market but a changed market, Caerphilly Medieval Market at the castle, this year was fab, 10 X better than the previous few years, lots more effort, no big plastic marquee full of people selling flip flops and Inca hats who wouldn't bother even trying to source costume to wear, lots...

Re: How are you finding trade ?

oi oi geezer, nice seeing you on the w/end :) , if you dont mind I have a suggestion I'd like to put your way, I was talking to another trader and we thought that as you had the room why not run talks / demos to keep people there after they have done their initial shop ? for example I could do a foo...

Re: Chimera Costumes

They are normally at TORM, It might be easier to go over and have a face to face chat, there may be a reason for the delays, though in a day where communication options are many fold you would expect to hear something via one method or the other

Re: How are you finding trade ?

After sitting for half an hour outside the wrong gate they were redirected to the correct gate by a kindly ambulance driver. I wonder if thats the gate Suzie sat outside of, the satnav sent her to the wrong gate, even though they were the correct coordinates, if you dont type in the road name as we...

Re: How are you finding trade ?

We will have to contact Dave and find out how much the increase is, our things cost £2.50 and we dont feel we can increase the price and still be able to sell them, and any increase in costs affects us a lot, added onto accommodation, fuel, food and drink when we are away which all are increasing in...

We are going over to Holland between Xmas and New year for a show, we've done it a couple of times and even in crap weather there was a very good turn out of MOP's with Xmas money burning a hole in their pocket, we have room for another trader if they want to come, we have a large tent so can share ...

Re: How are you finding trade ?

I was feeling smug because the credit crunch hadn't affected much until now. It has finally caught up. This year has been rubbish. thats what we thought, but it seems to be catching up with us to now, every single thing I used has gone up and up[ in price over the last 3 years, ingredients, utiliti...
