I would say, check your sizes before you start. You can't rely on knowing you're a size 12 and therefore making the size 12 garment. I made an English Jacket for someone who is a size 12, and luckily checked the chart first - discovering that I needed to be cutting out a Reconstructing History patt...

We got one because we didn't have a vent to the outside - defo wouldn't swop back now.

You have to enter the water container after two or three loads - its good for car batteries too.

Next time you buy a tumble dryer - get a condesing one - no tubes and loads of distilled water for you to use - free ( sort of I supposed)

Yup - we are just above Carmarthen in Trelech - I do the posh frocks and ming runs a Fiore base Western Martial arts club which House of De Clifford have been known to attend - I am sure you could share a lift if interested.

Coming in a bit late on this one but the colour they called "watchet" iis a pale blue green- not as vibrant as turquoise but stated as one of the colours worn in medieval times

her thanIf you put the side seams on the selvege ( sp? braIn inidling mode)and have the front and back seams cut on the angle - the pleats should fal front and back rather to the sides - there is a diagram in Medieval tailors assistant.

Arrgh...........gores Absolutely. I have sort of developed a technique if it a gore into a seam-stitch one side of the gore and main garment and then stitch the whole seam as if it were a continuous seam ( above the gore point and below.) I can actually do a french seam this way and it looks pretty...

I will echo everyone elses comments - it may be time consuming but unpicking and re fiting is always the best way. Yes, sleeves are difficult - I tend to go round twice re altering the pins to "ease" the sleeve into place - then tack - then try on then properly stitch when I am satisfied. ...
