The tack cleaning looks like it would be fun  It makes such a difference to ride with the appropriately kitted horse.... looks kinda crummy when the rider makes an effort but the horse doesnt ( !) for your period is it a requirement to have appropriate tack if you opt for a horsey rol...

I love it! The bridle makes him look very workmanlike... Andy, 5 years is quite young for a horse isn't it? weren't they broken in later then than now? (thinking of Black Beauty at 4... whereas I though 3 y/o was normal for horses now?) presumably they would be trained from the outset to a military...

That's a good speed for Amoroso, remember it's to dance to.... having danced to 'Amoroso' as by Misericordia & Gaita compared to a much faster version, slower really is best... it's a beautiful, stately and romantic dance.... not dashing about! That said, it's all interpretative. But the steps given...

and an interesting rant too, I'll remember that! 8) (I guess it fits the image though, otherwise why would a highwayman have knowledge of horseriding?)

Dover Castle and my new dress!

Very fun event! Was (un?)fortunate to have been assigned the role of Jane Seymour for the weekend, with Annis as Mary Zouche and Vicky as her Queenliness! So - some pictures :D some are mine, some are Annis's. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m152/lidimy/Costuming/5028_111544941135_691761135_33169...
