Dom's horses were used for the skill at arms. Mine/Nicky's of Tournament Stud, the two jousters were Segunda (chestnut mare) and Mutley (coloured stallion)

First was a draw, second I won, third he battered me completely (I believe the expression he used was a righteous twatting), fourth I won with a convincing break on his helmet and three shield breaks. Basically we both won as we walked away from a real joust smiling and utterly exhausted.

Griff was there too as King.

St George enjoyed his spill, especially the sliding 15ft under an electric fence, but is glad to report all is well, and no long lasting damage done to either horse or rider. My harness is a combination of both. Spring steel plates over mild steel where it matters for the joust. Thanks for the photos, now I know what expression I have on my face when trying to take rings at a full gallop (lower down the photos, chestnut horse)... must work out a better 'I'm concentrating' look!
